A National Resource for Research-Based System Planning and Community Capacity Building
Community Solutions at the University of South Florida is a new national resource for system planning and community capacity building. Formed by research faculty and staff from the USF Department of Child & Family Studies, the mission of Community Solutions at USF is to provide services and training that will equip individuals, communities and states with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively provide behavioral health services and supports to all children, youth and their families.
Nationally recognized for our far reaching efforts to improve and integrate services in the juvenile justice, mental health, education and child welfare systems, we believe that each family and every child has the right to effective services and supports that meet their individual needs and are sensitive to developmental, social, cultural and familial issues.
Our work is reflected in policies and practices in Florida and across the nation, and our collaborative efforts in research, evaulation, technical assistance and training span across many fields and areas of need.
This website offers a glimpse of our expertise and profiles the services and training available by our faculty and staff.
Community Solutions is an initiative of the Department of Child and Family Studies (CFS), College of Behavioral & Community Sciences at the University of South Florida.
